Sheffield Doc/Fest brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art and business of documentary making for five intense days in November. Doc/Fest is a film festival, industry session programme and marketplace, offering pitching opportunities, controversial discussion panels and in-depth filmmaker masterclasses, as well as a wealth of inspirational documentary films from across the globe.

what make a good doc? Q&A with the sheffield doc fest youth jury

break out session with mentors
round tbale work shops with individual mentors in groups of 10- each assigned a mentor- use the skills learned in the morning session to develop your idea into a short doc. each group will vote to choose the strongest idea, which will get pitched to Lina Presstwood from current tv and James Mulligan from 4docs for a special prize.
