During our editing process we trialled aspects of our film to our target audience. We allowed students to view different clips of our documentary and asked them to write a review or paragraph on what they thought, positive and negative points welcome.
Below are some of the opinions:
'i didn't know how many people in barnsley wanted to vote for the bnp. A good short documentary about a good issue'
'Very good interview scenes with the BNP supporter Simon Casket, i liked the use of lighting in these scenes i thought it was a good idea to light up one side of his face as it looked effective. the background also seemed to reflect the BNP due to the colours. I think their should have maybe been more indepth interviews with students to see if any of them are actively opposing the BNP e.g. what students can do to try and stop the BNP gaining power. Good work.'
'Very relevent issue, good use of music i like how it changed when the title to your documentary was shown. Enjoyed the simple interviews with students they weren't too long but got their views across.'
'Overall a good documentary highlighting current issues. Good that the veiwer sees opinions from the BNP and from those opposing. It's good to see students my own age giving their opinion on important issues like politics.'
'I found the interview with George Arthur too long, my attention wandered a little at that point as there is no interesting background or anything. The editing was quite smooth and i thought the establishing shots on the introduction to your doc flowed well.'
