Radio adverts are an effective way of promoting film and television as they use a different medium they enable the advert to reach a wider audience. There are various types of formats of radio advertisement such as dialougue- peformed by two or more voices, monologue (where the voice acts as a character rather than a mere narrator), jingles and finally our chosen method which was straight read with music in the background.
When trying to find examples of radio adverts promoting documentaries impaticular political ones results were virtually non existent, so we took our inspiration for ones used to propmote films, in that they give an indication to what the programme is about, we had extracted audio from our film and included background music.
