This poster advertises the documentary 'Fuel' which unveils the deception of Americas supposed dependence on oil and eplores an alternative solution, Biodiesel. The writing and images in this poster are made more eye catching as they are set against a white background. The juxtapostion of white agianst colours allows the audience to concentrate on whats important without getting distracted by any background imagery or colour.
The main image in this poster is very shocking, it shows the earth covered in black oil. This succeds in grabbing attention and illustrates how the earth is being destroyed by oil, contrasting something beautiful with the image of something ugly and dark. An image of green grass and yellow flowers is shown at the bottom of the poster again portraying nature with the use of colours suggesting the beauty of the earths environment and how it should be preserved.
Various awards which the documentary has been honoured with are situated towards the bottom, these entice the audience to want to watch the film as it has obviously been highly reccommended by industry officials. One award stands out boldy placed in the middle of the other, this being the winner of the audience award. The documentary's website is also included in the poster allowing the audience to discover more information about the documentary therefore gaining it more publicity. Finally the people and companies involved in the making are credited in the poster,giving an opportunity to advertise any credible companyor person, such as bluewater entertainment,which ultimately gives the documentary credibility by association.
